We have been working on “Love Letters”. This is a great project to get our parents involved too, by writing a love note to their child. We then read them to their child in front of the class, and then hang them up on our special bulletin board for everyone to see! The children absolutely love getting a “letter” from home and enjoy seeing them hung up as well. It’s the perfect way to spread some Valentine cheer!
On December 14 and 15 our preschool students sang songs and shared snacks at three class concerts.
Today, Dec. 6, 2022, the whole center learned about St. Nicholas. The children learned who St. Nicholas was, and how to this day St. Nicholas, or Santa Claus, is a special friend of children. The children received treat bags by their shoes with special gifts to represent St. Nicholas. The clementine and gold coins reminds us of the generosity of Saint Nicholas to all the people, but especially children. The candy cane symbolizes the Crozier that Saint Nicholas as a bishop in the church, carried. It was a great celebration for the children and staff.
On Wednesday, November 23, we all celebrated Thanksgiving by having our school family come together and shared Thanksgiving food from Bob Evans. So many families came and enjoyed our get together. We will continue this annually.
Preschool and Daycare children with their whole families was able to celebrate the fall season with our annual Pumpkinland field trip. We all took a walk to the pumpkin patch, corn maze, haunted barn, pony rides, petting zoo, corn pit & more.
1st annual trunk or treat event, adults decorated the back of their cares for Halloween, loaded up on candy, and came to sit in the parking lot of the Preschool for kids to “trick or treat” from car-to-car. We had over 27 vehicles volunteer and served over 50 candy bags to children.
We were happy to have Curtis from Steel City Pediatric Dentistry come talk to the children about healthy eating habits and caring for their teeth.
Children went on a nature walk, picking up leaves and counting them.
Thanks to Ms. Jen for picking up this over-sized beach ball. The children loved it!
